VETERINARY NURSE We are currently hiring for this position.
Certified Veterinary Technicians are preferred for our AAHA accredited practice. Veterinary nurses/technicians with no certification but at least 3 years of experience and strong skills in this position will be consideed. Our Veterinary Nurses are responsible for surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, performing dental cleanings and x-rays, laboratory procedures, radiology, medical procedures, daily nursing care of hospitalized patients, infectious disease control, pharmacy, fluid therapy, client communication, assisting veterinarians, client education, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, inventory, and mentoring and training of other technical staff.
This position requires in depth knowledge of veterinary medicine and processes and the ability to apply that knowledge to changing situations. Other requirements include initiative, ability to muli-task and juggle priorities, accuracy and attention to detail, team skills, great attitude and always a smile.

CLIENT RELATIONS SPECIALIST
Responsibilities in the position include scheduling appointments, answering multiple phone lines, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and documentation of medical records, checking clients in and out, retail product sales, service and program promotions, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, filing, and most importantly, providing above and beyond TLC to our pet parents. Client Relations Specialists must enjoy pets and love people, have exceptional communication skills, be detail oriented, have initiative and problem solving skills, type 50+ wpm, work well independently and as a team, have a great attitude, and always have a smile.
NO CLIENT RELATIONS SPECIALIST POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
VETERINARIAN ASSISTANT
The Veterinary Assistants responsbilities are two-fold. First, the Assistant takes direction from and assists the veterinary nurses. When not directed by the nurse, the Assistant takes direction from the veterinarian. Secondly, responsibilities in the role of Animal Care Specialist may comprise up to 50% of the Assistant?s responsibilities. Work assignments are based on the needs of the clinic, clients and patients, and the Assistant works closely with all team members to ensure these expectations are met and exceeded. Veterinary Assistants are responsible for animal handling and restraint, cleaning rooms, equipment, cages, and kennels, educating and communicating with clients, processing labwork, preparing vaccines and prescriptions, bathing and grooming, feeding, stocking and inventory.
Requirements for this position include previous veterinary clinic experience or equivalent, self motivation and initiative, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, detail and accuracy, ability to type 50+ wpm, a positive attitude, genuine interest in people, love of animals, desire to learn and always a smile.
NO VETERINARY ASSISTANT POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST We are currently hiring for this position.
Animal Care Specialists are responsble for the daily care of dogs, cats and small mammals boarding in our Pet Resort & Spa. This involves cleaning kennels, cages, floors, food bowls, litter boxes and the outside lawn and property. Checking in boarders, offering clients ancillary boarding and bathing services, promoting clinic services, bathing, nail trims, administering medications, exercising pets, and monitoring pet health are some of the activites of this postion. General care and janitorial services for the hospital are also a responsibility of the Animal Care Specialist.
Requirements for this position include previous experience in a veterinary clinic or equivalent, ability to handle, restrain and bathe dogs and cats, an easy rapport with all animals of different temperments, a desire to keep the kennel and clinic pristine, and great client communication skills. The successful Animal Care Specialist will be able to multi-task quickly and accurately, type 50+ wpm, work weekends, holidays and flexible schedule up to 12 hour days, have a great attitude, like working independently and as a team, and always have a smile.
