Your pet ages approximately 7 times faster than you do and he or she can't tell you what's changing or hurting.  Because of this, we stress the importance of twice yearly physical examinations.   You wouldn't think of waiting 7 years to see your doctor, especially as you get older!   Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.  
      
Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
   
Anesthesia:  There is always a risk associated with anesthetic procedures.  We perform pre-anesthetic testing to minimize the risk, and utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety.  Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  

Pain Management:  We are a Pain Free clinic!  Your pets feel pain just like you do.  Surgical and dental procedures are pre-evaluated for pain levels and pain medication is administered before, during and after procedures as required to minimize pain and discomfort.  Pain care is not optional and no procedure is performed without pain medication!  We also use pain treatment to manage arthritis, painful disease and injury.  
    
Internal medicine consults: One of our strengths and focuses is internal medicine.  We will work up your case and follow it through to resolution.  If a specialist is beneficial to the care of your pet, we offer in-hospital referrals to an internal medicine specialist for ultrasounds, endoscopy and advanced surgery.   
   
Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
   
Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
   
Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
   
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Vaccinations:  We customize the vaccinations your pet receives based on age, lifestyle, breed, travel, beliefs and health.  Some vaccines are needed every six months, some every three years, some never.   If your pet doesn't need it, we don't give it.  Each time you come to see us, we will evaluate the best strategy for health care and vaccines again to make sure it is still the best!

Allergy Testing - Brandt Veterinary Clinic offers food elimination trials and serum allergy testing to determine the cause of allergies and itching.  Once this is determined, we provide counseling, nutirition management, and immunotherapy to reduce or eliminate the symptoms that make your pet miserable. 
    
Permanent identification: We recommend and offer microchip identification and provide you with instant registration services.
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
   
Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We feature Royal Canin pet food because it offers consistant ingredients, superior research, multiple benefits in each diet and is the only pet food whose products are exclusively made in their own, controlled facilities.  We willl provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.  Therapeutic and preventative nutrition is customized for individual health, disease, recovery and care.  
    
Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Friday, or between 5:30pm and 6:30pm on Saturday or Sunday (by appointment).

Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic spa services are available.
